It’s official. Mr T is a curling fan.

As the Winter Olympics rolled into their second day of medal-winning competition, the former A-Team actor took to Twitter to express his excitement for PyeongChang 2018.

That Mr. T, real name Lawrence Tureaud, is a sports fan comes as no surprise. But what was slightly less predictable, was his new-found love for a sport sometimes referred to as ‘opera on ice.’

As a former wrestler, bodyguard and actor renowned for his portrayal of hard man B.A. Baracus, one would be forgiven for assuming the Chicago native would be more looking forward to ice hockey.

But as the old adage goes, never judge a book by its cover. Will he be getting on a plane to PyeongChang though?

It was then, that Mr. T sent a tweet that put the internet in a spin (much like a curling stone).

Perhaps after playing an ex-Special Forces soldier for so many years, it’s the strategy of curling that appeals?

He was also keen to pay homage to all athletes on show in Korea.

It would appear that Mr. T’s message resonated particularly well with the curling community. Imagine seeing him at Beijing 2022!
